KING WILLIAM STREET, RECEPTION, London

We’re proud to reveal the newly transformed reception at 55 King William Street, a key part of the building’s ongoing floor-by-floor refurbishment led by Nikki Rees Interior Design in partnership with Birch Freeman Design.

Originally built in 1990, this eight-storey office building sits above Monument Station at the junction of Gracechurch Street, Cannon Street, and Eastcheap.

The reception design draws inspiration from London’s green spaces, with layered tones of green and blue reflecting the River Thames and city parks. Biophilic elements create a welcoming, wellness-focused atmosphere, while a striking bespoke artwork by Clare Bigger—an abstract silver ribbon—takes centre stage, symbolising the Thames flowing through the capital.

“Nikki is an expert and can work wonders with colour. She used quality contractors, listened to me as her client and delivered to my tight schedule – a pleasure to work with.”
