A new home championing the best in British design

This beautifully bespoke home in the heart of Wimbledon Village was a real labour of love.

Our clients had been searching for the perfect house for years and eventually they bought in a road they loved and set about building their dream. Harper Latter Architects conceived the plans to create a Georgian house with a modern rear. We worked closely to seamlessly blend these two styles together to create a modern and functional interior that champions the very best in bespoke British design.

We are passionate about working with British designers and local craftspeople to curate a home that is truly unique and tells each personal story. It was a joy to work collaboratively throughout this journey with our clients, sharing the process. Together we sourced as many UK designed and produced interior products as possible, from flooring to hand-blown lighting and hand-drawn wallpaper.

Every piece of joinery was tailor-made and designed exclusively for our clients even down to the finest detail. Bespoke cabinetry was individually stained to match the hand-crafted wooden flooring produced in Leicestershire. Drawing inspiration from the sweeping staircase, we collaborated with designer Tom Kirk to create a stunning lighting feature that flows down the stairs fluidly and finishes to fit perfectly under the ever-important Christmas tree!

The master bathroom was both a challenge and a joy to design with twin vanity units and central bathtub below the window. We sourced the stunning Dover stone from a London stone mason and used the off cuts in the dressing room to connect the spaces. Our client had wallpaper that she had loved for years so it was a pleasure to use it for the master bedroom.  We also upcycled the client’s own bed, reupholstering and making a bespoke headboard, to truly customise this personal space.

The contemporary kitchen was also a product of local craftsmanship, beautifully designed and made by Brayer Design, resulting in a space which is both practical and stunning. The lighting in this room, and throughout the house was a collaboration with A Splash of Light who adds luminary layers which really bring the interior to life.

There are so many other incredible talented British tradesmen and artisans we worked with on this project, including the builders Muskox who were fantastic to collaborate with.  We carefully curated and selected every finish and detail to be both practical and beautiful - which we believe every home should be. Resulting in a stunning home which brings joy to the whole family.

Best wishes from Nikki
