Contemporary Living Room, London

South-West LoNdon

Our client wanted to update this living room, as the space wasn’t working and she couldn’t quite put her finger on why. We quickly identified that the original door positioning was disrupting the flow of the room, so we reconfigured the layout and introduced two new sets of bespoke glazed doors by Perla Windows.

One set was centrally aligned with the fireplace to create a strong focal point within the living room, while the second set connects the kitchen directly to the garden. This reconfiguration improved sightlines, enhanced the connection to the outdoors, and transformed the ground floor into a more functional and visually balanced space.

Bespoke joinery was designed to house the television, helping to soften the proportions of the room. Layered with textured wallpaper, the space now feels less long and narrow, and instead warm, inviting, and cohesive.

Furniture was sourced from Love Your Home, with beautifully textured cushions from Christopher Farr completing the scheme.

“Nikki brought huge amounts of energy and enthusiasm to the design and fit-out of our new-build where we needed help and advice with absolutely everything including flooring, walls, window dressings, sanitaryware, lighting and soft furnishings.

After an initial meeting, she completely understood what we wanted to achieve and, always conscious of budget, presented shortlists to help narrow down our choices.”
